“Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man”. That’s me in the middle about 8 or 9. This was in Los Angeles and me and Mitch Charity decided to make a comic strip to sent to the LA Times. I did the artwork and he did the jokes (not funny I seem to recall except to his mother). The other guy is Randy Rhoten who was also part of the project (colouring in I think). Anyway, the paper got us to come in and did a story about us and staged this photo in the office. I wear a Serapi from our recent trip to Mexico. Always style conscious. I remember crossing into Tijuana on our road trip and with genuine bewilderment asking my parents why people didn’t go and live in real houses instead of little cardboard shacks. I guess I’ve learnt a bit since then but really I don’t think I have changed much.
