Mariko has taken over the studio while I have been preoccupied with basic needs around the yard, such as building the netted vegie patch and the cat run. And the foundations for the “cabana” overlooking the gully. More on these deceptively simple activities soon.
I really couldn’t say who has the more impressive work ethic. She is carving tree roots upside down out of a tree stump.
I asked her what it’s all about. Her English is not great.
“Make a change in tree. Up is down. Light is long.”
I told her that I found it poetic, like a Haiku.
“Sank a you Stiv. Is comment on envilonment.”
